Before we get to San Remo, we've had a small detour to see a local cave (one of the most complete Eurpean caves) 'Grotto del Vento' in the Apuan Alps in Tuscany.
It looks like the boys are walking on a bridge, but path runs beside pools of water that are so clear that they look like air.
Made from a build up of calcite delivered by dripping water, it takes thousands of years for these formations to take shape.
It's a constant 10 degrees in the cave, summer or winter & we climbed up 40 metres, then down 40 metres. The whole cave was truly beautiful.
They have found large numbers of bones in the cave system, this is the skeleton of an extinct European Bear which was much larger than the American Brown Bear. 'Raahhhh who's the king of the Grotta del Venta'!
The view outside the caves looking back at the Apuan Alps Nature Park. A quick bite to eat & next stop San Remo.
