15/7/15 We have huge day organised by Silvia from our campsite...first stop...Monaco. A selfie with the Principality of Monaco in the background. Yep that's all of it, only 2 square kilometres of the most expensive real estate you can find...$33,000 per square foot!

So they don't waste much space...yes this is a two way street.

All the parks, plaza's & squares all have beautiful landscaping & statues...this is a giant glass lolly.

This is one of the Grimaldi boats built in the early 1950's & was used for Prince Rainier & Princess Graces' honeymoon.

Turn left & look up...this is the Fort & Castle where Prince Albert currently lives with his wife (at the moment). It seems that the Grimaldi family are not so lucky in love.

The fort also has the jail, situated on the cliff face facing the Mediterranean & overlooking beautiful beaches & boats...not bad hey? Monaco has 1,500 police, so crime is almost obsolete.

This is the view from the jail...almost criminal...ha ha?!

Prince Alberts Great Grandfather loved the sea & was involved in & financed many studies & explorations. He built this Institute Oceanographique to continue this research. Jacques Cousteau  was the director until his death. Because he was at sea so much, the Great Grandfathers' wife ran off with another man...& took the kids...ouch!

Jacques Cousteau's little yellow submarine that pioneered extreme deep sea diving...financed by the Grimaldi's.

This is a local seagull & they are huge...well over twice the size of the ones back home...& so quiet, I don't think that they have any predators here.
