24/7/13 Bordeaux

These trees are everywhere & you can steep the flowers in boiling water to make a refreshing citrus type tea.

This is a huge statue/fountain in the main Plaza of Bordeaux. It is the largest Plaza in France.

We are just wandering around the streets of Bordeaux & there are some delicious shops. This chocolate shop was amazing with handmade chocolate shoes...not in size 10 though & all left feet only.

We all gave in and sampled their wares...just too decadent!

Handmade fruit jellies & glazed fruit.

The shops are small & very individual & attention to detail is the norm.

A human statue violinist sitting in mid air on the Main Street...what more can I say?

We decide to have dinner in town before heading back to the campsite. They don't have steaks here like they do back home, but we all felt like some red meat & of course a nice Bordeaux red wine...Bon Appetite!

Ok...so the boys felt like dessert & couldn't decide what to have...so they had everything...looks good hey?

I was a little bit stronger, but not much. This is a selection of home made  sorbet...lemon, raspberry & black current...oh my, was it good!

Walking our dinner off & sightseeing. It's about 9pm but still sunny & warm. It takes a bit of getting used to the different lifestyles they live over here . We never seem to be in bed before midnight & the locals don't usually get up before 9am.
